Privacy Policy

Who we are

Sakbe Capital helps companies raise capital or sell, and connects them with investors, partners and lenders. We decide why and how the personal data described here is used, which makes us responsible for it.

Sakbe Capital does not yet have a registered legal entity in any country. For that reason this document does not name a company registration, a tax identification number, a registered address, a jurisdiction or a governing law. When an entity is established, these documents will be updated to name it and the terms will be re-issued.

What we collect

Account data

When you create an account we collect your email address and a password, which is stored only as a hash that cannot be reversed. We also record when the account was created and when it was last used.

Order and payment data

When you buy an Investor List we record which plan you chose, the amount, the currency and the status of the order. Payment card details are handled by our payment provider and never reach our servers.

Uploaded decks

If you upload a deck, we store the file and its name. Your deck is held in private storage that only you and we can reach. It is used to build your investor list and for nothing else. It is never shared with investors and it is never published.

Questionnaire answers

The answers you give about your company: name, website, headquarters country, industry, stage or revenue, what you are raising or selling, the amount, the investor types and regions you want, your traction metrics and anything else you tell us.

Contact messages

If you write to us through the contact form we keep your name, email address, company name if you give one, and your message.

Technical and cookie data

Cookies that are strictly necessary keep you signed in and remember your cookie choice. Analytics and marketing cookies are set only if you allow them. Our Cookie Policy lists what each category does.

Why we use it

• To give you an account and keep you signed in
• To take your order and deliver your investor list inside your account
• To build a list that matches your company, using your deck and your answers
• To reply when you write to us
• To keep the site secure and to prevent abuse of our forms
• To understand which pages are useful, but only if you allow analytics cookies
• To meet obligations that apply to us, including accounting records

We do not sell your personal data. We do not share your deck or your questionnaire answers with investors, and we do not use one client company to promote another.

The basis we rely on

Where data protection law requires a basis for using your data, we rely on the following.

• Performance of a contract: your account, your order and the delivery of your list
• Consent: analytics and marketing cookies, which you can withdraw at any time
• Legitimate interests: keeping the site secure, preventing abuse, and answering messages you send us
• Legal obligation: records we are required to keep

Who else sees it

We use a small number of service providers, and they may process your data only on our instructions.

• Our hosting and database provider, which stores your account, your order, your answers and your list
• Our file storage provider, which holds uploaded decks in a private bucket
• Our payment provider, which handles card details directly so that we never receive them
• Our analytics provider, only if you allow analytics cookies

These providers may store data outside the country you live in. Where that happens we rely on the safeguards those providers put in place for international transfers.

We may also disclose data if we are legally required to, or to establish or defend a legal claim.

How long we keep it

• Account data: while your account is open, and for a short period after you close it
• Uploaded decks: until you delete them, or until you close your account
• Questionnaire answers and delivered lists: while your account is open, so you can go back to them
• Contact messages: up to two years, so we have the history of a conversation
• Records we are required to keep for accounting purposes: for as long as that requirement lasts

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to do the following.

• Ask for a copy of the personal data we hold about you
• Ask us to correct anything that is wrong
• Ask us to delete your data, including your deck and your account
• Ask us to restrict or object to how we use it
• Ask for your data in a portable format
• Withdraw consent for analytics or marketing cookies at any time, using the Cookie settings link in the footer

To exercise any of these, write to alejandro@sakbecapital.com or gregory@sakbecapital.com. We will respond within one month. You can also delete your deck yourself from inside your account at any time.

If you believe we have handled your data badly, you may complain to the data protection authority where you live.

Security

Traffic to this site is encrypted. Passwords are stored as hashes. Your account data, your deck, your answers and your list are protected by row level security, which means our database refuses to return another account data to you and refuses to return yours to anyone else. Uploaded decks sit in private storage that is not reachable by a public link.

No system is perfectly secure. If a breach affects your data and creates a real risk to you, we will tell you and the relevant authority.

Children

This site is for people acting for a business. It is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 16.

Changes to this policy

If we change this policy we will update the date at the top of this page. If a change materially affects how we use your data, we will tell account holders by email.
